John is also an Interfaith Minister and happy family man living in Northern Virginia.

Mickey Fried

Mickey and his wife Jodi are making the trip to Alexandria for our St. Patricks contest.

Mickey is an experienced competitor having survived the Oil City PA contest last year.



They are both looking forward to the World Championships in Anchorage in May, and are using this chance to warm up for the spring time in Alaska trip.


Jodi has an art showing on Saturday Night.

Combined International Competition teams of Beard Team USA and Whisker Club of Washington State, at the World Championships in Berlin Germany 2005. http://www.whiskerclub.org/

There are no fee's or due's to belong to BT USA. If you go to competions you have to pay your own way and host clubs usually require a small registration fee of a few dollars. International event costs are usually covered by sponsors and donated talent. Any profits go to a charity of the host clubs choice.

For International events, BT USA leader Phil Olsen often scouts out travel, hotels and local tours and may even get us group rate discounts. For information see:
